MUSIC . DANCE . TESTIMONY

Requiem for Aleppo is a non-political artistic response to the human tragedy in Syria.

David Cazalet’s original score is a combination of Requiem Mass lyrics set to choral music and Arabic poetry from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries. Choreographed by Jason Mabana, 12 dancers from around the globe explore themes of love, loss, anguish and hope. The performance is punctuated by real-life stories of people from Aleppo.

RAISING FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR SYRIA

Requiem for Aleppo is a fundraising performance.  All money raised from ticket sales to the premiere at Sadler’s Wells, London, and donations collected during the Live-Stream of the performance were donated to Syria Relief and Techfugees.  We will continue to support these organisations through our future performances.
